This weeks theme is called 'open the gate'
Monica wrote a tutorial on how to create this card.

Here's the tutorial

Gate Fold Cards come in many variations. The basic idea is just that your card doesn't open at the side, but in the middle. Just like a gate with two doors to open.
I will give you one instruction, but of course you are free to create your card at whatever size you wish. You can choose to create a square card, which I will describe to you, but you can also make a rectangle card by the same idea. You are free in many ways, as long as it is a gate fold card, because that's what the challenge is about.

Here's the idea:

This will make a 5" square card.
1. Cut a piece of carstock at 5" x 10"
2. Score at 2 1/2" on both sides
3. Fold both sides inwards and this is the gate fold

Decoration can be done like this:
1. Cut two pieces of designpaper at 2 1/4" x 4 3/4" and adhere to the the top of each gate folded side.
2. Cut a piece of (layered) white cardstock at 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" and adhere it on the inside of the card.

Decorate a little more:
Cut or punch a (scalloped) circle measuring about 2", decorate it and adhere on the left top in such a way it looks like it is on the center of the card.
In stead of a circle, you could also cut a square or rectangle.
You can even adhere ribbon on both top sides, so you can close the card with a bow.
