My name is Maria and I am getting close to that age called - middle. I live with a wonderful husband of 15 years and four children. They keep me on my toes all the time. I also work full-time. To offset my busy life I create cards and sometimes other crafty projects. One of my most favorite things to do, beside card making, is to alter picture frames. 

I was introduced to craft by my good friend, and once I started it was very hard to stop. I have been making cards for about two years now. I love to make cards using all types of styles, but my most favorite one is vintage. I love anything retro, I even try to get my cloths from the store that has styles like that. ))) I am really excited to join your team and look forward to crafting with you.

I have a couple of fun announcements this week...first off, I am very pleased to welcome 2 new DT members to our wonderful team.  Please meet Amy and Carmen!  Here's a little bit about both of these lovely ladies:

Amy- I live in Beautiful Victoria, B.C., Canada with my dog, Bubbaganoush. I have been crafting for several years, but it wasn’t until May 2013 that I discovered the wonderful world of craft challenges and blogging- and I’ve been hooked ever since. I love all things crafty: Stamping, Paper crafts, Die cuts, embellishments...the list goes on and on. There are so many wonderful techniques out there and am always excited to try something new. 

Carmen- Hi my name is Carmen Mitchell and I am thrilled to be a part of Dutch Dare Card Challenge DT.  I live near Edmonton, Alberta Canada with my husband and my 2 youngest children. I also have 2 grown children living close by. I was a Dental Assistant for 16 years before deciding to become a full time Mom/Domestic Engineer.  Now I am lucky enough to be able to pursue my passion of Crafting while my kids are at school.  I have been crafting my entire life, I currently spend my time creating pottery and paper crafts. Although I have been making cards for about 10 years and started scrap booking about 2 years ago I only recently became addicted to online challenges.  About two and a half years ago I met a CTMH representative and now call her a good friend and CTMH my favorite products.  I love that all of the CTMH products match, the colors all go together I never have to search for the right shade of red ribbon to match my paper or inks...  This makes the products so easy to use and you can simply let your creativity flow.

 Secondly....beginning September 5th, you will find us at Creative Knockouts.  I have decided that a name change is in order and I'm hoping for more international participants and felt that Creative Knockouts was a great name to embrace all crafters out there.  The blog is live right now although there will not be a challenge posted until Sept 5.  You can feel free to hop on over and follow the new challenge blog via email, friend connect or Blog Lovin and be sure to bookmark our new address.  I (Kelly) am still running the show and our DT and sponsors will remain the same...just a name change!

***One other thing I would like to mention is that I am going to be changing the name of the blog (or basically staying with the same sponsors and fabulous DT team but will have a new name and blog address)…not that it is terrible or anything but I did not actually start this blog.  I inherited it about 5 years ago as I was a DT member at the time and the lovely lady that started it was Dutch.  I really love the challenge blog, and we have grown leaps and bounds over the last 5 years, but I, myself am from Alberta, Canada and I really would like a new name to encourage worldwide participation….I have a few ideas I am throwing around right now that are more general not location specific, but would love to have a wee bit of a naming contest!   If you have a great name for a challenge blog that is not already taken and you think it would fit us, just leave me a comment below or send me an email if your refer.  Thank you for your input***
