Goodmorning everyone,
This week the Dutch Dare Cards Challenges is celebrating it's 1st anniversary!!!!
Thank you all who helped us getting there. We love seeing your creations!
This week we have a very special challenge for you, but before we are going to tell you about this we have to announce the winner of last weeks challenge.
The winner of the free sets of downloads from the Cutting Cafe is......
Congratulations!!! Please send
Karin a email for details about your prize.
And now for our anniversary challenge. A few weeks back we received a very special request from a volunteer from Pol Pals.
Here's what the email said:
Hello.
I read that you do challenges and I wondered if you would consider doing a challenge with a twist.
I volunteer for Post Pals, they feature seriously ill children (most have cancer or are going through transplants) and their siblings on their website:
They invite members of the public to log on from around the world and send a card to a child. The aim is to make a child smile, but they have found it also helps their self esteen and parents often open them with a child during a procedure to distract them.
At the moment they are helping 120 children but they aren't getting much post.
I was wondering if you would do a challenge, instead of people just scanning in/taking a picture of their card for the theme but they actually make one for a Post Pal child and send it off.
I can't begin to tell you how much receiving a card means when your ill and isolated.
Thank you,
Charlotte Chapman
So this week all you have to do is make a charity card, something that would cheer an ill child. It doesn't have to be a new one, if you have a card you made a while back and suits this challenge that's fine. We do ask you to create a new post with it. Each DT-Member will pick a card and send the winner a small surprise RAK package.
But that's not all. This weeks sponsor is...
And they are donating those 4 fabulous
Alota bug stamps to one lucky lady.
And for another lucky lady we have this cute little Hanglar stamp.
We the DT-Members are going to donate our sample card to Post Pal.
We (the DT-members and all the kids featured on Post Pal) would really appreciate it if you could send you card too. Just hop over to their website and follow their instructions.
And please spread the word about this about this very special challenge on your blog, so we have a lot of kids smiling in the next few weeks.
Take a look at this weeks sample cards.
